Halelani Village is a 2-story condominium project on the outskirts of Lihue in an area known as Puhi. The project was built in 1993 and consists of 292 units in 28 building in an area bordered by Puhi Rd and Hanalima St . There are 2-4 units with 1 bedroom, 272 units with 2 bedrooms and 16 units with 3 bedrooms; median living area of 750 square feet ranges from 553 to 980 square feet. There is a mix of owner-occupied and long-term rentals. Short term rentals are not allowed. Pets are currently allowed with some restrictions; ground floor units with fenced yards are ideal for dog owners. Unofficial Halelani Village condominium documents include Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Condominium Declaration, and House Rules. Although providing a convenient reference, these documents are not "official" copies of documents recorded with the state of Hawaii.
