Kakela Makai Oceanview is a beautiful residential community located on a hillside overlooking the Kauai Coffee plantation fields with the ocean beyond. Most lot sizes are just a little under 1/4 acre with 199 properties plus a swimming pool and clubhouse. This community features homes built since 2002 and a large number of vacant lots, many for sale. The north side of the project has the steepest slope and thus the best ocean views. The south side, though closer to the ocean, has less slope and more of the ocean views blocked by adjacent homes. The Kakela Makai community association documents can be found HERE. Key documents located therein include a sitemap of homes and lots, Bylaws, CCRs, and Design Review Requirements. Although providing a convenient reference, these documents are not "official" documents recorded with the state of Hawaii and thus are not the final authority.
